Tricia O’Mara, Piano Instructor
College degreed and Conservatory trained from Case Western Reserve University/Cleveland Institute of Music with 30 years’ experience teaching.
Learn while having FUN!
My students have fun yet work hard and achieve! I focus on musicality and adhere to the best teaching practices in the field.
I teach because I love to teach - and share the laughter and joys and grit needed to become musically literate. I deliberately keep my studio small and fill it with wonderful students to whom I am dedicated.
Students learn to play music from many genres such as classical, jazz/blues, pop/rock, folk tunes, holiday music, etc. Learn to understand and appreciate the differences in all kinds of music!
Adults, who may have quit as children, love learning music again. I make it easy for them to pick it up this time. They appreciate the brain stimulus and know it’s good to make new neural connections and build brain health.

“I hope to share my love of music with your family!”

A little bit about my family …
My husband (CIM, Trombone) and I have raised three wonderful musicians:
The oldest is a professional Classical Guitarist who earned her Doctorate degree in music performance. She studied at The Peabody Conservatory of The Johns Hopkins University (B.M., M.M.), CIM (P.S.) and the Univ. of Georgia (D.M.A.) www.krystinomara.com
The middle musician is an enthusiastic Violist who received the largest scholarship award offered in viola from UGA at the time. She went on to earn her Master’s degree in Physiology at CWRU and is looking onward to medical school.
My youngest excels at the Harp. (She also loves playing the cello, too). She recently began harp studies at the University of Michigan with a $35,000 music scholarship!
All three started with Piano Lessons first.
